people never fail to amaze me. really, it's sad how little most of us we care about the world we live in.
i must have had 10 different arguments today with people.
once about how animals don't have feelings,
& a different one on being vegetarian.
but the one that got me the most was a boy at my lunch table coming back with a stack of napkins bigger than my computer screen, no joke.
when i told him what a waste it was & that he was killing trees he just kept insisting, no one else cares, so why should i? apparently one person can't ever make a difference. everyone else agreed.
this attitude is honestly going to be the downfall of man kind. can you truly be that apathetic to humanity?
imagine if in history everyone decided to just deal with life the way it was, because things were just never going to change.
african americans would still be enslaved, women would have no rights, and there would be absolutely no such thing as democracy.
if one person doesn't step up and say 'hey, this isn't right. we could make the world a better place by doing something about this particular issue' then there is no progression, no hope for a brighter future.
people, please please open your eyes. stand up for what you believe in, take the time to voice yourselves.
you just might convince someone else, & then they in turn might convince another.
& god knows what could happen from there..
